CHAPTER 3

In this chapter Humes shows how we are in a way brain washed by Tv and media to buy things that we need and we end up wasting in the future. The producers get us by selling things that are covenant and disposable. Everyone is guilty of buying these things, I know I am. We buy everything from plates to cups, napkins, utensils, shavers, and the list goes on. We also buy to stay in with the latest trends such as phones, cameras, and clothes. Puentes hills is filled technology and clothing that is thrown out. Now that I think about this I find it to be extremely true. I am guilty of throwing away technology and clothes all the time. Also I am glad that we do not use pigs anymore to eat 0ur garbage  anymore because that caused a lot of people to get infections when they would eat pork. I think if we were to not use half of the disposable things we can cut the amount of  garbage in take per year a lot.

CHAPTER 2

In chapter 2 Edward Humes gives us some background history on our garbage crisis. It started way back when people would throw their garbage and belongings outside their windows and doing this resulted in a plague which killed most of Frances population and from there our method's  about our garbage disposable continues to grow. we improved the old method of throwing garbage out the windows and having pigs come eat the trash by now actually placing our garbage in a trash bag and walking it out to the curb to be picked up by the garbage man. It really shocks me that will all the improvements in technology and science we still have not found a way to properly dispose of our garbage that will not put us in anymore harm.

CHAPTER 1

To be honest I never took the time to think about where our trash goes after we throw it away, I always assumed that it magically disappeared by the garbage elves . Reading Garbology really opened up my eyes and it was only the first chapter! we have put ourselves as a society in danger with all the garbage that is being built up in our country and around the world. Never in a million years would I think that garbage can be so dangerous and possibly kill people. Edward Humes does a remarkable job of getting his point across and keeping the reader intrigued for example he talks about Puentes Hills and it shocked me that one of the biggest landfills is right here in California and it just keeps building up. It bothers me that we have not really made this a priority and make more people aware of this issue about our garbage even though it seems silly. If we keep going down this road we are eventually going to run out of space and die in our own trash.
